But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

"If God is satisfied with the work, the work may be satisfied with itself."

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

"No Christian and, indeed, no historian could accept the epigram which defines religion as 'what a man does with his solitude.'"

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

“Though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not.”

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

“No one can separate us from the love of God!””

God of the Underdogs

God of the UnderdogsWhen the odds are against you, God is for you

by: Matt Keller
Published By: Thomas Nelson

If you're feeling like an underdog and want some encouragement, I highly recommend you get a copy of God of the Underdogs by Matt Keller. Its the read.
I think all of us will likely or mostly feels underdog and Matt Keller has its finest way to overcome it, I'm warning you, you might wanna put it down unless you finished reading it. Matt shows how God is greater and then shows us how we can apply our faith in God to each situation. As one reads the book, we get to know both the author and the Author, better. I love the Biblical content of each chapter. Keller details the "underdog" stories of David, Paul, Jacob, John the Baptist, Jesus, Mephibosheth, Gideon, Esther and Moses, and Keller's excellent (and often colorful) exegesis of these narratives makes this a book worth reading and passing on to others.

I did receive this book for free from Booklookbloggers.com in exchange for a fair review. I have received no compensation or pressure to give this book a positive review; I have done that on my own free will. I would give it three and a half stars out of five.
